To move on as a developed nation that looks out for its increasing elderly population, Malaysia needs to invest and support the provision of affordable, as well as quality, aged care services. In directing concerted efforts to invest in the elderly population, the outcome can only be valuable returns, in both tangible and indefinable terms, affecting both social and economic spectrums that are derived from their active and continuous participation in society as a direct result of maintaining their health and well-being.
To create this shift in society, we champion the need for a concerted effort in building an integrated framework of action that supports and incorporates every aspect of the need – ranging from skilled healthcare professionals, to equipment suppliers, to financial services. The mentioned list is not exhaustive as it requires a coordinated response from many other sectors and multiple levels of government to be able to draw effective ways in measuring and monitoring the health and functionality of the elderly population to stimulate a sustainable industry capable of coping with its robust growth.
ACG’s presence is to listen, understand, advocate and engage the right people to work with us. Our voice is to articulate a shared synergy that is towards building a sustainable ecosystem for the retirement and aged care industry. For that voice to be valuable, it must articulate your concerns and challenges of your business dreams – so we need you.
WHO DOES THE INDUSTRY NEED?
In the end, aged care sustainability all boils down to people. To create a sustainable ecosystem for aged care, we need to gather the right people and talent to be advocates in bringing about this shift in mindset.
